RCH Foundation INcome

The total income for 2015/16 is $55.4 million. This is reported by the principal funding source.

This represents a $14 million increase in income from the previous financial year. This can be attributed to growth in general donations, bequest and estate income and a one-off finance investment income.

The increase in bequest and estate income is largely due to the generous gift received from the Lionel Richard Vivian Spencer Fund.

Investment income increased due to the sale of a one-off long term investment. Income resulting from general donations also increased, as the number of donations from major gifts, regular givers, third-party fundraisers and corporate donors grew.

The Foundation’s annual review publication, The Impact of Giving, gives further insight into where and how donated funds are distributed, and includes inspiring stories from around the hospital.
